Toyota is awarded with the Energy Star Partner of the Year Award for the ninth year, the most among any automaker
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized Toyota for the ninth time with its Energy Star Partner of the Year Award - Sustained Excellence Award for continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency, according to Toyota's press release.
"During the past decade, cumulative cost savings at these 13 North American vehicle, engine and parts plants totaled more than $370 million and energy use has been reduced by 15 percent per vehicle produced, enough energy to power 27,000 average households for 10 years."
Not only has Toyota worked hard to keep sustainable energy going in its plants, but it goes so with the redesign of dealerships, like our own self-sufficient building at 802 Toyota, as well as creating a slew of energy-efficient, cost-saving cars like the Toyota Prius, Prius c, Prius v and the Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid.
