Toyota Pledges 1.25 million Meals to Food Bank For New York City
Last week, Toyota announced a substantial pledge of 1.25 million meals to Food Bank For New York City, which was a huge increase from their original offer. Toyota had planned to donate one meal for every view a video that was made about their work with Food Bank received, up to 250,000 meals. After an overwhelming response to the documentary, Toyota has pledged to add another 1 million meals on top of the pre-existing 250,000.

California Science Center Unveils Exhibit Featuring Toyota Tundra

Toyota Tundra - Space Shuttle EndeavorAfter partnering with Toyota Motor Sales, the California Science Center unveiled the Toyota Tundra that was used to tow the Space Shuttle Endeavor through Los Angeles. Two five year-old "future astronauts" dressed in the classic orange jumpsuits and showed spectators the science behind the lever that featured the Tundra. The lever has a beam that pivots on a fulcrum, and mini-astronauts Noah Lara and Samantha Comiskey showed that if you stand farther away from the fulcrum you can apply less force to lift the Toyota Tundra.

Toyota also presented a check to the California Science Center foundation for $401,300, which was raised by twitter followers re-tweeted to raise the money.

Toyota Introduces the 2014 Toyota Corolla

The 2014 Toyota Corolla was recently showcased to the public for the first time, with a noticeably different style and improved technology. The new Corolla looks very similar to the Furia concept Toyota showed earlier this year, which also had a bold front grille and more aggressive wheels. The 2014 model will include an in-glass radio antenna, power windows with drive-side one-touch up/down, AC with pollen filter,2014 Toyota Corolla Bluetooth connectivity and eight airbags. Available features include hands-free keyless entry with push-button start, automatic climate control, leather-trimmed steering wheel, Multi-Information Display and voice-command controls.
